Transportation:

Makaha Resort does not offer shuttles from the airport. The resort is located on the far west side of Oahu approximately an hour from Honolulu. This remote setting offers beautiful vistas and peaceful tranquility, but this can also cause some difficulty when you try to see other sites on the island. Because of this, we highly recommend a rental car when stay at the resort.
The average cost of a taxi one-way to the resort is $150, so there is a lot of savings and upside to renting a car. Additionally, the cost of parking your car is included in our resort fee.
In our experience we have found that best price for a rental car is obtained when booking the car with your airline tickets.
